I'm rooting for Zagone to rebound and do well again, if he pitched like he did in the Cape, I expect him to go early in the draft.

 

He's a good kid from a good family.

 

Everytime I go to his alma mater (Prairie Ridge HS), I always drive by that big Mizzou flag outside his parents front door.

Maybe a little off topic, but does anyone know what happened with Justin Bristow, a guy the Cubs were rumored to be interested in taking with their 1st pick a few years back (he was in high school then, college now).

i'm guessing that penn state barely missed the cut

 

Penn St. should be alright O'Neil can mtch up with anyone not named Putnam on Friday nights, they don't have the offenses of Mich. and Minn.

i was actually kidding, but apparently penn st is not supposed to be as horrible as they usually are

 

still, i think they should let the state college spikes play in place of penn st, just to make things more fair.

Jim Callis: I know Aaron Fitt and John Manuel are still working on our preseason Top 25. The last I heard, UCLA was the favorite to be No. 1. I like Missouri as a sleeper.

I have never been to a college baseball game, but I am changing that this season.

 

Same here, I've been within walking distance of free college baseball for 4 years, I've got to finally take advantage in my last year.

How could you not wander over there for a night game?

 

The city skyline at a night game is the best I've seen for any park (amatuer, major, minor).
