Well it's a win and I'll take it, but that's the worst game the Vikes have played since 34-donut against the Packers.

I'm really in the minority but Tarvaris actually played pretty well for the most part, he just reverted to early season form on about 3 plays that killed him. His numbers look a bit worse when one of the interceptions was really a catch and fumble that stayed in the air, and the fumble on the handoff is A.D's fault. He was 18-29 for 249 and 3 picks. The first pick obviously wasn't on him and Ferguson was tackled inside the 1 on the long pass so effectively he was 19-29 for 257, 1 touchdown and 2 picks and 25 yards rushing (I know, I'm spinning). Clearly the 2 interceptions were terrible decisions and throws, but it was a decent night overall.

The real issue is the o-line taking a major step back the last two games. They're not communicating, not working together and allowing way too much penetration. If they don't get that straightened out we're not going to the playoffs or if we do, it's one and done. There's no reason we shouldn't have been able to control that Bears front more effectively tonight.

Thank God for Kyle Orton and Ron Turner.

the 6-8 Panthers swept the NFC West? Is that right?

Yup. Been a strange season for Carolina.

4-0 against the NFC West

2-3 against the NFC South (Tampa Bay left)

0-1 against their 2 other NFC games (Dallas left)

0-4 against the AFC South

Last year Carolina went 8-8 and went 5-1 in the division, sweeping New Orleans and Tampa while going 3-7 in the rest of their games, including splitting four games against the AFC North. They're just a weird team.

The Bears losing last night pretty much took care of whatever playoff hopes the Panthers may have had...they're in the race mathematically but have no real chance.

I'm not totally sure. Personally I think he's fallen from the level of bringing a 1st rounder. I'd give a 2nd rounder and maybe a 5th in a later year.

But some team out there might toss a 1st rounder at him. I just think the injury history knocks his value down a notch.

Yeah, I agree. I suppose if there's a lot of competition for him it might up the ante and I'd like to see him remain healthy for a whole year myself! You being a Bear fan, would you give up a 2nd and 5th round pick for him?

Ack. After watching Orton last night? Hehe.

I probably would. And then keep Grossman as backup for the inevitable games where McNabb is hurt. With our OLine, I'd pray McNabb doesn't lose his mobility -- because he would definitely need it.

Roy Williams appealed his suspension yesterday, good luck on this one.

The rule was created in your name, yet you still horsecollar them.

Personally, he should've been suspended longer. He knows what he's doing, he's trying to injure players without a doubt in my mind.

yeah pretty much. the cowboys definitely have a handful of scumbags on that team; makes it even easier to hate them.
