Half their team was a ridiculous exaggeration, admittedly, but they were missing more than two key players. Anthony Gonzalez dislocated his thumb on the first drive and basically didn't play after that. He's certainly a key player -- three touchdowns the past two games proves that. The Colts also played with only two linebackers -- total -- and only one was a starter. Since then, they've lost Freeney for the year, so that must be subtracted. I won't even comment on the officials garbage.

i forgot about the linebacker thing. losing freeney is a huge loss, because as the eagles showed, the only way you have a shot against the pats is if you pressure brady. their offensive line is amazing.

the officiating in that game was (a)awful and (b)extremely one-sided. any neutral observer could see that. chances are the colts won't be so lucky if the teams meet again.

Freeney is a huge blow, specifically against a team like the Pats. Luckily, they still have Mathis, hopefully (he's hurt and didn't play today, but should be fine especially since a potential game against the Pats is five weeks away).

Well, the NFL said the pass interference on Wayne was the correct call. The offensive interference against Moss was crap, but the Pats scored a TD that drive anyway. Those were the two calls everyone complained about and the later was irrelevant. There were a couple of iffy calls. If you want to see extremely one-sided, I can show you a tape of the 2003 AFCCG.*

*And I just commented on the officials garbage.

Stupid Panthers can't do anything right...they suck for 13 games, then when it comes time to lose to better teams for draft purposes, they beat a division champion for no reason. I suppose next we'll beat Dallas for some reason.

Oh, you beat the Seahawks for a reason. Hopefully you beat the Cowboys for the same reason on Saturday night.

This 'Skins-Giants game could be one of the worst that I have ever seen. With 5 minutes left in the 2nd half, here are the QB numbers:

Collins: 3/13, 71 yards.

Manning: 4/16, 24 yards.

Already 11 combined punts between the two teams. This sure is fun.

Prime time football, where the NFC East plays!

The Gnats are getting beat by Todd Collins. In their home stadium.

I swear, the NFC could just go to whatever team decides to get hot in January, regardless of seeding.

Shockey is out with a fractured leg. That's going to hurt the Giants in the playoffs.

The Giants are going to hurt the Giants in the playoffs.

Jacobs might be getting ready to set a record for dropped passes.

:(

It's too bad he doesn't have any hands. He'd really be a great player if he could catch the ball as well as not putting it on the turf once a game.

did i hear correctly that Manning (the lesser) threw 36 incompletions last night?

*checks*

sorry, only 34

yeah, my favorite part about yet another terrible game from him is that they kept playing the citizen eco drive commercials that said something like "eli manning is unstoppable, just like the citizen eco drive." right!

Unstoppable.

Eli Manning is.

And so is his citizen eco drive watch.

I love that there is a huge Eli citizen echo billboard in Philly, off 95 I believe.

Last night wasn't really his fault though. Winds were crazy, and he was hitting hands and shoulder pads all night. Giant receivers were awful.

Yesterday I was a Jets, Miami and Philly fan, so I enjoyed 2 out of the 3 games. Having the Jets cover on the easiest bet of the week (why were people insisting New England would win by 40 even when it became obvious the weather would be terrible, as early as Thursday?) was almost a moral victory.

The Miami win was a lot of fun. I enjoyed pausing it when the big fat man in the stands held up a sign that just said, "HUGE", and again when the server in Huizinga's box was picking her ear.
