Ok I'm going but I've never been before, can someone fill me in on exactly what happens at these things? Will I be able to get autographs, and if so does it have to be on an item that is purchased at the event? I have a replica ND mini helmet that would look great with the Sharks autograph on it and a Felix Pie baseball that I only want Rich Hill to sign.

Has there been any word yet on who will be attending the Caravan in Peoria? I havent seen anything yet.

Here's the info that just went out on the Chiefs website late Thursday:

PEORIA, IL- The Chicago Cubs and Peoria Chiefs have announced that the Cubs Caravan is returning to Peoria on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at the RiverPlex and will be highlighted by pitcher Ted Lilly, catcher Geovany Soto and prospects Tyler Colvin and Rocky Roquet.

In addition to the four players, Cubs Assistant General Manager Randy Bush, Vice President of Player Personnel Oneri Fleita, Pitching Coach Larry Rothschild and Bench Coach Alan Trammell will be on the Caravan as well. Radio broadcaster Cory Provus will emcee the event.

also, for those of you that hadn't seen this story, the Chiefs and the Chiefs Boosters will be doing a raffle to benefit the fund set up for Donnie and his brother. Love to see you in Peoria on the 17th (although it does mean I'll miss the Len and Bob Bash)!

Merrillville isn't Gary thankfully... I think they'll be alright.

Yeah. It's hosted by the Gary Railcats but it's held in Merrillville - so they'll be fine.
