To anyone watching the Rams/Saints game, did Steven Jackson get hurt again, or did they pull him because he's a bit gimpy still and they have a big lead?

He got me no yards today, but I'll take the two scores.

And Pittsburgh comes barreling back into the game.

I bet they're glad they have football season to look forward to....

Not so fast. The Browns return the kickoff 100 yards to take the lead right back.

They are just resting him.

What a game!

Who would have thought the Browns would put up this much of a fight?

Why is Jackson playing anyway?

Stupids Saints. Just HAD the onside kick but our butterfingers safety dropped it. That's why you don't have safeties on the hands team. Knuckleheads.

And THAT'S the ballgame. Way to go, Aints.

Absolutely a great game. The Steelers came right back and scored another TD to take the lead again. 3 minutes left and the Browns are down by 3.

Now the Steelers are back on top again.

31-28 with 3:13 left.

That was a pathetic attempt by Cleveland's offense. Have to hope the defense holds the Steelers to 3 and out.

Couldn't cleveland have not used their timeout til the second play and used it after the 2 min to give themselves an extra 25 seconds or so after the punt?

Brian Westbrook just had a 58 yard run, and now the Eagles are actually winning. There is over 3 minutes left though.

Not only that, but he's single-handedly destroying my fantasy team.

Of course I have to be playing against the Denver defense who allowed 9 points, and has 1 TD, 4 sacks, 3 interceptions, and a fumble recovery.

OF COURSE THAT'S WHO I'M PLAYING TODAY.

Freakin' fantasy football pisses me off sometimes.

No. This is a common misconception.

Scenario 1: using the timeout before 2 minute warning

After play 1-timeout Cleveland

after play 2-2 minute warning

Scenario 2: using the timeout after 2 minute warning

Play 1-2 minute warning

Play 2-timeout cleveland, 1:54 approximately left

You save time by using timeouts before the 2 minute warning instead of after. The only situation you don't want to use a timeout before the 2 minute warning is if a play ends with 2:05 or under left. If it does that, then calling the timeout before the warning just gives the other team a free passing play (since the clock would stop automatically after the next down). In all other situations, you want to use it before.

Me too. Tom Brady has a bye week this week (obviously), so I had to go find a QB. Well, most of the week I had Jason Campbell (19 points today) but cut him to sign JP Losman who had a better matchup this week and had been doing better. So what happens? Of course Campbell puts up 19 points and Losman puts up 5. And then, of course, Donovan McNabb goes crazy for my opponent and posts 27 points.

Fantasy football sucks.

At least you didn't bench Derek Anderson for Losman :-&
