I'm hoping I can order my Fukudome jersey for Christmas.

I wonder how many places like stores and restaurants won't let you in if you're wearing that?

I just wish Harry was alive to pronounce it on the radio.

Back words...

If we lose out to the Royals, I am punching a hole in my drywall.

Will Carroll of BP is saying the White Sox are making a last minute strong push for Fukudome.

Haha , like he'd really sign over there...

They've had success signing guys like Shingo Takatsu and Tadahito Iguchi, so who knows?

Looks like someone got drunk and fought himself in a closet ... is that the right story or am I recalling this from the Bulls board?

Oh someone tell Theo to just chill the heck out. Enough dude.

I want the Cubs to get him, but I wouldn't be devastated if we lost out on him.

Like others have said, there's a good chance that Hamilton would be a better (and cheaper and younger) option, and maybe if he missed out on Fukudome, Hendry would shift his efforts toward him.

Maybe he'll do what I thought the Yanks would do. He'll sign Fukedomw and that'll give him more toys to throw the Twins way.

SI: • The Cubs are considered the favorite for top Japanese League outfielder Hiroki Fukudome. But the Red Sox could be an interesting possibility, as well.

Dude's gonna have an identity crisis soon given all the first names that have been attributed to him..

Interesting. So the Red Sox are probably trading Ellsbury to the Twins for Santana and then are going to try and sign Fukudome to replace him, just great.

Or, the Red Sox are anticipating that Manny is playing his last year with Boston in 2008 and Ellsbury can ride it out in AAA while Boston fields a super team for a year.

And then they have to sign Santana. Must be nice to not have a budget.
