Aquiring Wallace was a terrible move by Cleveland. They now have the worst offensive player in the NBA. Expect even more double teams for Lebron.

Kwame Brown is on Memphis, not Cleveland.

I'm all for progress. Hughes isn't it unless he can miraculously return to 2004-05 form. His PERs have been Duhon-like the past couple of seasons so I'm not holding my breath.

I was being sarcastic...like I said earlier this was basically a swap of bad contracts(Wallace for Hughes), the only differnce, every now and then Hughes actually resembles an NBA player. Cleveland definelty was a terrible fit for him though.

I don't know how often a player with an 11.97 PER can look like an NBA player. Hughes has managed to be slightly worse than even Wallace this year. Maybe a change of teams will help both players rebound. I'm hoping they'll just park Larry at the end of the bench.

I still maintain hope that Hughes can be dealt off this offseason. I know his contract expires after next season but I'd rather just be rid of him.

I bet the trade made snood's day (if he's a Bulls fan, I'm not sure)...Gooden and Hinrich on the same team.

I'm under the impression Hughes has two more seasons left on his contract after this season. So he's not off the books until after the 2009-2010 season.

Ahh, never mind then. Definitely want to move him this offseason, especially with the excess of guards.

You're right. We only saved like $50,000 because his contracrt is the same length as Wallace's.

Haha, I am a Bulls fan. If we're talking Jayhawk big men, I would have rather gotten Collison. Gooden has a ton of talent, but he'll never really put it together. It'll be fun to see Kirk and Drew play together again, but honestly, I just want the Bulls to not suck.

If we are talking Jayhawk big men, I prefer Michael Beasley

Serioulsy, why are we not just tanking the season. Sneaking into the playoffs in the East doesn't mean crap.

Beasley goes to Kansas State.

It's all Kansas so I don't think it really matters.

My mom's cousin teaches at KU and for the longest time, my mom thought their mascot was Woody Woodpecker. The only reason I mention this is that my mom's cousin's reaction is always "I'll kill you" when she asks how the Woody Woodpeckers are doing.

Maybe if he's put in only in the right situations he can be serviceable.

Perhaps a baseball analogy would do well here:

Wallace's situation on the Bulls was like Cliff Floyd taking away playing time from Murton. He had to be moved if for nothing else than to force the manager into playing the younger player. It didn't have anything to do with money.

As long as Hughes does not come in and take time from Thabo, this was a very good move. And for the record, Hughes can steal Duhon's minutes for all I care.
