You're assuming Dusty doesn't actually believe what he is saying. I am not prepared to make the same assumption.

I have no problem thinking that Hendry was just as responsible for these moves. Garciaparra was hurt so they brought in Neifi as an emergency. He actually was good for a couple of weeks. So Hendry gave him a ridiculous 2 yr contract on 2 weeks worth of production AFTER THE GIANTS CUT HIS LARGE REAR for sucking at an extreme level. I dont care how much your manager wants a guy, these are the reasons the Manager and GM are seperate jobs.

I'm assuming it's because Wood has already shown he can come back and pitch at a high level. Until he gets on a mound, we don't know if Prior will even be able to break 80 mph yet (although I'm optimistic about his recovery from the surgery).

there is no way that disty is letting tom goodwin get away....needs that veteran bat/glove
