Braun 5th in ROTY? I agree that Tulowitzki should win, but there's no way Braun should be that low in the ROTY rankings.

-25 defense hurts. a lot.

I thought defense didn't matter?

Tim Hudson second for NL Cy Young?

And Roy Halladay did not have a better season than Beckett, Carmona or Santana. A 3.71 ERA and 1.24 WHIP does not get you in the top 2 for a Cy Young award.

yes hudson and halladay are #2 in their leagues

How do you figure that Soriano and Lee were more valuable than Ramirez this year?

Magic!

No seriosuly Derrek Lee had a higher VORP than Aramis this year as well as being a better defender and Soriano was a +20 defender give or take.

When you say +20, does that mean he saved 20 runs?

Do you actually watch games? Sorry, I know everyone on this board is a stat head, but no one that watched the games this year could say Lee was more valuable to the Cubs than Ramirez.

The whole "do you even watch the games" argument got old and tired years ago. Its still a bad way to argue your point.

Lee did play in 18 more games, made 92 more PA, had a .044 better OBP (.400 vs .366), and a .913 OPS to Aramis' .915. Add in that Lee is a plus defender (albeit at first) and I think you can make an argument that he was more valuable to this team this year. Keep in mind its not a question of who is the better hitter, but who was more valuable.

Although Lee actually did EqA .306 to Aramis' .301.
