Ahhh, there we go - let those pitches right down the middle of the plate go by!!! I thought for a second this wasn't the Cubs with the patience, but Ramirez brings it back to typical Cub baseball.

If this weren't so sickening it would be hilarious

that is called patience at the plate

Can we get robots to call balls and strikes please?

God, I couldn't agree more. I'm sick of this crap. Not one consistent strike zone this series. Not saying that's why we're losing, but it's not helping us.

I haven't seen a consistent zone in any of the series so far.

Strike 2 was a ball but strike 3 was a strike. Either way, should be bases loaded with DeRosa up.

watch the zone go down to the size of a postage stamp for Hill now

but hey, only the best umps for the playoffs, right?

That was a strike - not a ball - it was right down the middle of the plate - besides, it was far too close to let go by.

I find it hard to blame the umps for our own team failure

Come on people, stop blaming umpires. Whether that's a strike or not, it's certainly borderline, and you don't take borderline calls with 2 strikes. Horrible job by Ramirez.

Strike 2 was not a strike, strike 3 certainly was and Aramis needs to swing at that.

After 3 balls, Ramirez just expecting a walk, so he parked his bat on his shoulder.

I mentioned it the other night - I'm convinced we have a good number of hitters who decide before the ball is thrown whether they're gonna swing at it or not.
