a florida or usc loss tonight would be super. Then again I really dont care about anything cause the CUBS won the division.

It certainly does help matters doesn't it?

I truely don't even seemed fazed by the Texas loss. Everyone else going down might be helping too. Still, all I am thinking about is the playoffs and potential matchups.

I only want Florida to lose twice...once at LSU and the second time to LSU again in the SEC championship game.

I'd love to have them lose to a team that lost to Southern Florida at home!

Why do coaches insist on going for 2 so early?

UCLA punches in a TD and gets it to 14-12 but Dorrell for some reason decides to go for 2 even thoguh there are still nearly 11 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. Of course UCLA doesn't get it.

I'm so in the same boat. I was laughing about the OU loss while everyone else was losing their minds. Thanks cubs.

It's like some moran wrote a book on when to go for 2 and they all follow it. I'm with you brother because I don't like it that early either.

Unlike you two all my cards were on the Cubs.

If the Cubs play on Saturday I am not even going to be interested in the Red River.

Wow, USC-Washington is scoreless in the second quarter in Seattle.

Remember what happened to UT last time they played KSU? I'm not saying we'll win again, but we're a much better team than we were last year. Texas has pretty much almost pissed down their leg in 2 of their games this year. I wouldn't count KSU out. We've had 2 weeks to prepare.

:) What a great day. I worked from 7pm last night til 10 am this morning, slept for 4 hours, watched the game, and am now back at work. Today's win made the lack of sleep WELL worth it. Now, lets kick the crap out of KU next week!

Best day of my life was the RRS in 2003. Sooners destroy Texas and the Cubs, behind Aramis Ramirez' grandslam, crush Dontrelle Willis and the Marlins.

Obviously everything went downhill after that, but what a day

I was going to post this week that I wasn't sure if USC-Washington was really a mismatch. I should've, now it's lame hindsight. My live-in is an USC grad so I watch all their games and they struggle on the road in the Pac-10 recently. And Washington is improved.

The West Coast offense blows. It's not 1985 anymore.

At least you have basketball to look forward to. I am looking forward to actually having a system with Lickliter and hopefully seeing the team live up to it's potential and not kill itself. Unfortunately the potential isn't very good this year.

Iowa football is an absolute mess right now and there is nothing to indicate any changes in the future. Changes need to be made. It all happened so fast too. 3 straight top 10 finishes, then a New Year's Day bowl and we were 4-0 and ranked 12th heading into that primetime showdown with Ohio State last year. Since then we're 4-10 and 1-7 in the Big Ten. Incredible.

Thank God for the Cubs.

West Coast offense is fine if you have the right personnel... if you don't then it sucks.

My picks in a confidence pool I do:

15 USC - up 14-7

14 OU - Bust

13 Rutgers - Bust

12 Florida - losing 14-0 at the half

11 Texas - Mega bust

10 TCU - up 24-6 in the 4th

9 Virginia - up 36-14 in the 4th

8 BYU - up 14-0 in the 2nd

7 Wisconsin - win

6 Syracuse - bust

5 Oregon - bust

4 PSU - bust

3 Air Force - bust

2 Bama - bust

1 Ga Tech - yay!

Brutal. I've already lost 58 points, and if Florida loses then I'm getting -20 this week.
