I always get mixed up from metric to metric, is VORP adjusted for individual defense? Cause I hear Hanley's pretty awful.

Maybe if we keep hitting high pop ups the wind will shift while the ball's in flight, and then it will carry the extra 50 feet on wind alone.(Or 200 in some cases)

Brew just tagged up on a mid range CF fly ball. F YOU HOUSTON.

I mean the entire city, and all its residents.

Meh. You had to expect they were going to sweep the Astros with who they're putting out on the field these days. The real test is this weekend against the Braves.

watch atlanta call up a bunch of guys from rookie ball

It's so easy to forget how this team has ever been able to put runs on the board. This is beyond redonkulous.

It sucks when a team offense can look so bad after already having a run after 1 pitch in the game.

The rest of the teams we play may do this too with their lineup. It is not like they have anything left to play for.

VORP doesn't take into account defense. Still, Hanley is having a sick year, and he deserves to at least be mentioned in the MVP race. The Marlins suck ass, but that's definitely not his fault.

Cincinatti is taking their role as spoiler much more seriously than the Astros are taking it, and I'm sure the Pirates will do the same. That scares me more than Atlanta, who seems poised to srop out of the race any time now.
