I don't know if that's sarcasm, but again you cross that bridge when you get to it. If the inning is alive for Monroe against a righty then you pinch hit Murton. You use your best pinch hitters first so that you're not stuck with guys who've looked to have no clue at the plate(Theriot), hitting because you're too busy waiting for some pefect oppurtunity to use your best pinch hitter.
