I think Murton should hit cleanup every day and play all 3 OF positions because he is so awesome

 

You know what I love about this board? That absolutely no one goes to extremes or jumps to irrational conclusions.

Me asking what the reasoning behind him hitting 8th was in no way saying whether I agreed or didn't agree. It certainly should not have sparked 4 or 5 random comments that ultimately are unhelpful.

 

You can't seriously be taking the position that you were "in no way saying whether I agreed or didn't agree."

It's simply astounding to me that pages 3-8 of every single game thread turn into a bitch session about Murton not being in the lineup. And if he's in the lineup, about where Murton is hitting in the lineup. The amount of bandwidth wasted on this site about Matt Murton is atonsishing. And that's from someone who thinks he should be playing every day in RF.

Its a sensible question seeing as I dont believe hes ever hit 8th before with Lou here, and I dont know if he has even with Dusty here.

 

Thanks. I thought so too, but apparently it was extremely inflammatory and some people not named Bruce Miles had an (un)witty or over-reactionary response.

Nice to see Murton and Soto in the lineup, not a fan of Monroe in CF.

 

maybe if he would start pounding some lefties i would warm up to him but he hasnt done anything worthy yet

I live at University center; which has it's own tv network. I only get random-ass selected channels.

I know murton wasn't involved in the play, but can someone describe what they saw? Did that have any business being a double? How was the collision?

Then you'd think that when he does play, people would be happy about that rather than bitching about some perceived slight arising from his position in the batting order.
