in case you were wondering, the cubs looked just as pathetic in person as they did on your TV sets. And you didn't pay $20 plus parking, gas and food to go to the game. Or drive 3+ hours through the highways of Pennsylvania that been handled with as much incompetence as possible PennDot - that's another rant for another day.

 

On the good side - not that there was much here - Geovany Soto looked very good at the plate. He showed real nice patience and hit three balls very hard - the one in the 8th looked like a bomb off the bat but just hooked foul. He was about the only guy who was punishing mistakes tonight; Gorzelanny didn't look that good, but of course it's the Cubs' inept lineup against a LHP, so what did you expect?

 

Soto HAS to be the everyday catcher next year. Do it. Please.
