I realize that...I was being more playful than serious. But if you're going to have a gut reaction to a guy messing up on the basepaths, and want to have him replaced, don't you want to replace him with a "good" baserunner? Say Pie in center and Jacque in right?

True, but the problem we were having with Ward was baserunning...fielding really wasn't an issue.

 

Yet....Cause Ward is no guru out there either. Thats basically why the guy has been a career pinch hitter. He can hit, but he cant run the bases and he cant field.

Im sure you know Id have no problem with that either. Ward is a career PH for a reason, he cant do anything else besides hit.
