Hopefully the Brewers will have one of their patented choke jobs and the Cubs will increase their lead to a game and a half. That would ensure that the Cubs will be in first place at the end of the weekend regardless what happens tomorrow.

Without being right there when the play happened, it was hard to tell.

 

He was either safe, or he never touched the plate with his hand has he slid by. I prefer the 2nd instance, being the Cubs fan... but alas, it worked in our favor either way.
