Dear Mr. Hendry:

Please quit your job.

Thank you.

Jeff

The team has probably contended enough this year that a new owner will give him a new 5 year contract.

Really, what has happened to this teams power?

this team is starting to look like nothing but a fragile shell of its potential

I really think the record is exactly what the potential of this team was. 5-10 games over .500

Give it a couple more weeks and the cardinals will have this division.

no matter how i prepare myself...i am still never going to be ready for that slap in the face

You'd think Pie flailing like a windmill would result with the bat hitting the ball once in awhile.

Pie does not look like a major league batter right now. I'm curious. What does everyone think his numbers will look like next year? I'd be happy with .270/.355/.420, 12 homers, 70 RBI and 25 steals. It all depends on where they bat him.

Another overrated prospect.

Kerry better start throwing strikes.

haha give me a break

What has Pie done that shows a guy that will live up to the hype? Seriously, please explain.

Pie has plus speed and plays excellent defense. There's always a market for those skills alone. He also had over 50 extra base hits in the minors last year. There's pop in his bat and he'll only fill out as he gets older.

I hope you guys are right. I have heard this a lot over the past few years and nobody ever is a Reyes, Braun, Wright, etc.

The Cubs have developed plenty of good position players. You just don't remember them because the last one was almost 20 YEARS AGO!

I don't think Pie will be a Hall of Famer. I'll be happy if he gets a couple All-Star Games. I think he'll be real useful to someone over his career.

Odds of the Cubs scoring 4 in the 9th.

1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000, to 1.

So there is a chance!

how come we can't score runs in the later innings?

what the crap is wrong with team?

It has very little talent. Thanks, Jim!

Well, our two best power hitters are hurt. Our best cather is playing everyday, for Iowa. Jim Hendry decided to stay pat at the deadline. I hope when the cardinals pass us Jockety thanks him for that one.
