Anyone know the amount he'd half to pay in taxes if he doesn't sell? And that's ridiculous you can get charged thousands of dollars for catching a cheater's ball.

They said that he might have to pay a tax on what would be an assumed income he would get by catching the ball. It's a bunch of crap but I don't know if it will actually happen.

I think its nuts to think that an AL team wouldn't want Barry and wouldn't pay him handsomely for the privilege. His OPS is insane. And that's in a crappy lineup, a huge park. And, he has to play defense on bad knees. If he played for a contending AL team, he could make them a lot better.

I think he's worth more than 8-10 million/year to an AL team, and I think that's where he'll be.

Apparently it's an asset.

Yup. The IRS is treating it as a gift tax. Somebody quoted to me that the guy who caught the ball owes $210,000 dollars in taxes for it.
