It's obvious that they've needed them because their pitching staff isn't as good as the Cubs'. I'm not saying I wouldn't want the Cubs to hit more homers I just think using the Brewers as an example for so called Cubs deficiencies is silly. The both have 52 losses and the Cubs have played 2 fewer games.

 

The person used the Brewers as an example because he was using specific players. Tell me you wouldn't rather have Braun and Fielder's production on this team.

 

That's not the point I'm making; I'm not looking at it theoretically. Yes, I'd like that kind of power from two Cubs players but looking at it the way things currently stand between the teams I don't see the extra homers that the Brewers hit as an advantage. It looks to me like they've needed just about every one of them to maintain their one game lead.

 

I fully understand that if the Cubs had 152 homers they'd probably be leading the division by several games but, as things stand they are tied in losses.

 

Yuck, that sucks

Wuertz is not as good as people make him out to be.

 

That said, if we would have scored more than one run tonight, it would be moot for the moment.
