Fred, do you have any info on how many times the Cubs' pitchers have gotten out of an inning on 6 or less pitches vs how many times the Cubs' batters have allowed the opposing pitchers to do so? If the Cubs are within 15 on that category, I'll be shocked.

No.... don't have any pitch per inning data. only average P/I & P/PA

Carlos werer you watching...................did you see how he knocked the ball down with his glove

 

well in all fairness it was easier for Lilly to go after it with his glove, because his glove is on his right side.

Not a bad inning from Lilly, but still it's no six pitch inning.

I think that nine-pitch inning just put that inning among the fastest five all season we've seen from Cubs pitchers.
