Shame on Lou. Wood should have pitched in this game. You have to be able to trust him with a 4 game lead.

 

And games like today (Lilly goes 7+, decent size lead) are perfect opportunities to give Marmol a day off.

 

a day off would be OK and all, but what did Marmol throw, 8 pitches?

 

He's been overworked to some extent, but pitching to one batter will not break him.

 

EDIT: 2 batters, but still not many pitches. Hopefully he gets a night off tomorrow and wood takes his role for a game.
