This game pisses me off even more than yesterday's.

Very true. This game was winnable. Home teams should win these games.

Pagan should have hit for Jacque :x

Or Cedeno or Fontenot ...heck even Hill probably!

Hell, channeling Yosh Kiwano would've been a better call, IMO.

Jones, Dempster, Howry should just be DFAed.

boy i'm glad you're not running the cubs

boy i'm glad you love to root for a team that has a few losers in it. Remove the losers on this team and we can actually win this division. Dempster, Jones, Howry, Eyre are all losers.

I love all the posts saying the cubs are 6-7 in their last 13 games. That is such an ESPNish stat. Let me guess, they are 7-7 in their last 14? Maybe 8-7 in their last 15?

Why? I think people, including myself are pointing out that we are no longer hot and playing above .500 baseball.

Way to go Cubs!

Just two losses in a row as you make our way down the standings. It's probably good thing considering both the NL East teams and West teams are better.

On the subject of Howry, good lord look at a few statistics before you go spouting off and make yourself sound like an idiot.

And who are you going to have replace Dempster, Howry, and Eyre? Petrick and Cherry, and ? ? The way they have been pitching, in a month you would call them losers and cut them as well.

Give what a rest? Defending my point?

It's not like I'm selecting random dates. I'm selecting the last 13 games that the Cubs have played, a stretch that constitutes 8% of the season in order to say that the Cubs have not been hot over the past 13 games.

But you're right, the next time I have an opinion, it will be better for me to select stats that completely refute my opinion. Thanks for the advice.

Jacque is more selective than Colvin. I think Colvin will being hearing some booing in Chicago down the road. Unless of course, he changes things up a bit.

This is the kind of thing people come to NSBB to avoid.

So we would just DFA 4 players? Eyre is actually starting to pitch better. What did Howry do wrong?

I don't even know why people are listing Jones as one of the problem areas today (maybe overall, but not today). 1-4 with a double is not anything to write home about, but it's not a bad day either.

The ones who did have a bad day: Dempster, and the 1-2 hitters going 0-8 today. Those were the problem areas.
