LOL, stolen from the Brewers message boards:

I had similar thoughts.. consider earlier today:

-Brewers were coming off a huge victory with tons of hits

-Brewers had eaten into the Cards bullpen last night, facing a doubleheader

-Brewers bullpen was fresh

-Brewers had a 3 game lead in the standings

-Brewers had a 6-run lead

-Parra had a low pitch count well into the game with a big lead

-Cards starter got pulled in the fourth, in spite of their lack of relief help

-LaRussa got ejected

-Game 2 Crew would face an 0-10 pitcher

-Game 2 starts Cappy, who has started to pitch well lately

-Cubs had to fact red-hot Reds

-Cubs had to face red-hot Harang

This had all the makings of a phenomenal Saturday

Hearing the Cardinal announcers, you'd think they were close to contention.

Kool-Aid comes in colors other than blue, you know.

I was thinking it had to be something injectible or snorted....

Being St. Louis, those things are easier to come by than Kool-Aid. You're probably right.

I can only imagine the Cards message boards tonight!

Walt, get us Dunn and we'll repeat!

Walt, how 'bout trading Wells and Reyes for Tex?!

The Cardinal fans prefer suppository.

No, Cards fans don't have buttholes. Just ask them.

First time tied in the loss column with the brewers since april 9th?

At the end of the day, yes. We were tied with them in the loss Thursday for a few hours.

To be fair their luck has not held this season. They are getting worse than expected performances from everyone, Carpenter may be done as an ace for good, and even Albert got off to a slow start. They aren't going anywhere this year.

But aren't they way outperforming their pythag

Yes, they were 5 games better than expected prior to the nightcap.

So even when they have a year from hell, they get lucky.

It really is annoying how Cy Blooper can shut us down but then every other pitcher that the Cardinals trot out there gets hammered by the Brewers.

No one to blame but ourselves, I guess. We're definitely going to need to win tonight because I don't see the Cardinals winning one game in this series.

Rewind this to page 1 of this thread...

Ahahahaha, I love being wrong.
