If they get Dunn, who plays RF. Soriano? Dunn would be brutal-er in RF than he is in LF.

Also, maybe Hendry held up on a trade for Dunn until tonight so Dunn got to play against Milwaukee. Dunn had a decent series and helped the Reds win 3 of 4.

Probably not.

It would have to be.

Either that or Soriano goes back to CF.

Honestly, if it's a trade with the Reds, Griffey makes much more sense if Pie is involved. Losing Pie for Dunn really screws us in CF.

Do you really think hed be much worse than Floyd out there? I doubt it, and the offensive upgrade over Floyd would be enough to make up for it.

My friend Nick who goes to school at Ohio State says that the Reds have traded us Harang and Pete Rose.

That made me laugh out loud. I needed a laugh tonight.

could Kroeger play CF? has he at all this year? could that be why he was pulled, as a call-up?

i don't buy too much of the Dunn/Griffey talk . . . but if we're speculating, let's make it make sense. does Kroeger in CF make sense? (i know very little about him)

DeRosa to Phillies for ? A trade with the Phillies makes a lot of sense right now as the Cubs have too many 2b especially with Patterson set to take over next year. Do the Phils still have a starter to deal? or do you guys still think Marquis is acceptable? Edited by stitchface

And are we really going to waste time talking about another rumor posted by some unknown guy on BCB.

The guy just joined the site TODAY. This is getting ridiculous. Think, people!

I could not care less about that guy on BCB. I don't trust that rumor at all.

What I'm interested in is the fact that both Pie and Kroeger were pulled very early in the Iowa game.

who are you referring to? most of the speculation, as far as i can tell, is from the fact that Pie and Kroeger were pulled mid-game in Iowa. Maybe it means nothing, but it DID happen.

edit: Flames already said it for me; and now I see you're talking about the BCB poster

That isn't the focus of the discussion. It's the minor league moves that happened.

Yeah, definitely. I was just hoping that the next 10 pages aren't full of people wasting time freaking out about a Pie for Church deal because some random person said a deal for Church was imminent.

Wait, what?

that better just be you speculating...no need to trade dero...well then again the almighty aaron rowand was responsible for the sox winning it all...so hmm maybe he coule convince the cubs pitchers to pitch four straight complete games in the lcs cuz with rowand its a given they go to the lcs

DeRosa won't be traded. He's as close to as untouchable as he'll ever be. And I wouldn't really make a deal with a team that is only a few games behind us in the wild card race unless we come out of it like bandits.

Cubs are not going to trade DeRosa.

How do you know? It would make sense for both sides as DeRosa is versatile enough to be useful to them when Utley returns. Do you have something to back up that statement, or is that just your opinion?
