I thought Lou just said Friday? He said he was tempted to bring him up for Thursday, but he pitched 1 2/3 so he'll wait.

cedeno

Nah, it won't happen. The Cubs can get through August with 12 and then have all the bullpen help they need in September.

Yeah, prior to the game, he said Friday. He contemplated Thursday, but since it was a day game, he figured he would wait an extra day so Wood would be "completely fresh."

OMG, he's getting skinnier by the day.

He must be on the South Bronx Parasite diet.

:D

I want to do some time with his trainer. He looks sickly though. I guess keeping him away from the bars and the brats for most of the last year has its advantages.

I'm sorry, but personally, just by looking at his face, he looks healthier to me. Back then he was surviving on skill alone, I mean he was a YOUNGIN. God only knows what his diet was. Now, he has to take care of himself. He looks happy and healthy in the face.

It genuinly looks as though he's in great spirits. :D

I think his health problems were due to (a) terrible mechanics and (b) overuse. Lack of fitness was not a factor, IMO.
