I'm glad we traded our good hitting catcher for one who plays defense.

 

Barrett has done nothing for the Padres since that trade. He has bascially done nothing all year.

 

And same goes for Bowen, and hes never done anything at the Major league level, where as barret has.

 

Bowen as a Cub- 2 for 20. 050/200/050. His OPS is 250. Hell Neifi had a higher OBP as Bowen had OPS.

 

bowen isn't good, but he isn't this bad.

 

and the argument could be that Barrett isn't as bad as he's performed with the Padres.

 

and that argument would be true. We're judging guys on a sample size of less than 10 games, that's a pretty futile exercise.

I feel like the Cubs offense is going into famine mode. Last night after the 3rd inning we just have looked bad. Could be the pitchers, but it could be the Cubs cooling off.

 

If the Cubs hot hitters cool off, we have to be worried due to the black holes in the Cubs lineup (C, CF) that have been masked by the rest of the team being hot.
