Guess he won't be getting the callup then.

Joel Santo has started turning things around lately. Today he has 5 shutout innings and he's even racked up 6 Ks. Daytona leads it 1-0 in the bottom of the fifth - the D-Cubs had the bases loaded and no outs in the fourth and got only 1 run.

Kyle Reynolds with a 2-run HR in the bottom of the 5th. Daytona up 3-0.

Bum. Wish I'd realised the D-Cubs started so early.

Akron vs Binghamton it is, then. 1-0 Akron to the bottom of the second.

Holliman gives up a run in the first without a hit - 2 walks, a HBP and an RBI groundout.

Now 2 no-hit innings for Holliman.

Holliman gave up a single in the third so in his last two starts, he went 9.1 no-hit innings.

colvin walked? miracles do happen.

O'Malley, who has been awful this year, blew Iowa's five run lead. But the bases are chucked in the third for the Cobs, pitching change to pitch to the fearsome Bo Hart.

Cedeño is 2/2 with a double for Iowa, Coats is 2/2 with a HR.

Canzler is 3/3 with 3 singles. Hernandez was solid: 6 IP, 2 R, 1 ER, 7 H, 4 K/1 BB. He threw about 80 pitches in his longest pro outing.

Good to see Colvin with an XBH and a BB.
