This is exactly why you gotta kick Weaver when he's struggling. Score as many runs as you can. Izturis not moving the runner over, etc etc, all catch up to you more often than not.

What if we move Floyd to the #3 spot and move D. Lee to #4 spot? Lee is struggling.

What could this solve?

what you do is when ramirez gets back you bat ramirez 3 floyd 4 lee 5

No, you bat Lee 2, Floyd 3, Aramis 4, Pie 5

NO NO NO NO, DO NOTTTTTTTT MESS WITH PIE, LEAVE HIM AT 2!!!

His profile fits better lower in the order. You want to maximize runs, you move Pie down. You want more "exciting" baseball, you leave him where he is.

how do u figure putting a power hitter at 2 and a contact hitter at 5 will create more runs? thats backwards

What's a "contact" hitter?

someone who hits for good average

Power Hitter? Is it 2005 again?

ok but Pie isnt gonna get big power out of nowhere, and when ur Lee's size the balls are going to start leavin the park. Lee has more chance to start hitting homers than Pie does

No he isn't going to magically start hitting homers again just because he is tall. Since his wrist injury he has been sapped of most of his power.

Ok, thats it guys I'm done. No more "Cubs might make the postseason" thoughts from me until 2008. Of course I'll still cheer but yeah..

Brewers are going to win too..

Sorry but I put that one on Lou. I'm listening on the radio and I could see that Marquis was finished.

They weren't hitting him. He got what should have been an inning ending DP. He hadn't thrown that many pitches. I don't see how you can assume he's done there.

Why do you think that the Cardinals always end up with a better team than us? They do that little stuff, meanwhile we have a bunch of guys, like Izturis, who throw that crap away and just hack.

Marquis is at 75 pitches and they weren't hitting him. I can't flip about not pulling him earlier. They should have been out of the inning.

It just seems that Marquis loses his stuff so fast. It's Lou's job to recognize when he's done.

He just isn't very good. He should always be on a short leash.

this is the craziest team I have ever seen. Only the cubs could outhit a team 9-2 and trail in the game 4-3--unreal.

Oh and also, how ridiculous are these umpires getting--get over yourself and that big ego McClellend

Are 3 of those runs really earned?

well, he was getting really wild too. i'm not watching but pat and ron sure seemed to think something was wrong.

whatever. i'm sure they would have found some other way to blow it anyway.
