Jeez, with Johnson covering second on the steal and the first baseman holding Theriot on, there wasn't a single defender on the right side of the infield.

Yeah, that's the point of a hit and run.

Yes I realize that... the camera angle just really showed it well, that's all

Sorry, I wasn't trying to come off like an ass.

It's cool.

It amazes me that Pie can be putting up an OBP of about .290 and striking out a ton, and everybody thinks he has done great in the majors.

Nice last couple of games, though.

He's 9 for 22 since he got recalled, that's why people think he's done a good job.

He definitely appears to be a different player since being recalled.

striking out 17 percent of the time isn't anything out of the ordinary

Rich looks like he's got good control tonight. Ahead in a lot of counts. Too bad that homer, but oh well just continue on.

It doesn't really portend future success when combined with walking 1.4% of the time.

Pie is capable of maintaining the strikeout rate. Do you really think he's going to continue to walk only 1.4 percent of the time? his career isoD in the minors is .54 or .55

Nope, I expect him to start walking more soon. I just don't think he's done anything in the majors yet to justify the building excitement.

I fail to see the excitement beyond that which would normally follow a young player having a great game.
