Marshall up for his 1st start

Vs

Wells (No so good thus far)

We should be able to pull this one out. I was at the game on 5/22 to see the 11 runners stranded. It actually looked like the team had jet lag or something because they didn't seem into it until the 6th inning. I could tell in warmups that Hill didn't have his stuff and he knew it too.

Petco is fun because there are more Cub fans there then Padre fans. We will get this game and take the series before heading to LA.

Viva 'la Cubs!

I sure hope so....tonight was just an uninteresting game to watch. hopefully they don't strand a million runners and marshall has his A game going. Most Def need to start capitalizing on nights when the whole astros and brewers lose games

go get em marshall

Great day to sit out Jacque Jones and his red bat. Maybe Blanco could also get some playing time.

Go CUBS !!

Hey Fred,

What are the season offensive stats by inning? What I'm hoping for is some sort of breakdown as to how the Cubs have performed in certain innings during this season. Not to make you do more work, which, what you do is appreciated, but I don't know how to look up my specific inquiry, so I'm turning to you.

I feel uncomfortable with Marshall going right after Hill. It just seems redundant.

If they scored 5 off Hill imagine how much they are going to score off of Marshall, who doesn't have the stuff Hill has?

I'm more apprehensive about whether the Cubs can get to Wells, they sure as heck should. Hill made a few mistakes that the Padres happened to hit, looking at their lineup though, its average to poor. If Marshall can hit his spots and keep ahead in the count there's no reason he shouldn't be able to shut them down.

A hundred million dollar team better be able to score off of a fat guy whos almost 50.

Agreed...

I think we lose. The Cubs batters will not be able to hit out of fear that David Wells might eat them.

We might have to bring Jim Hendry out to counteract the threat.

This is a must win to avoid the sweep. Young's ERA at home is under 1, so you can forget Thursday's game.

So you're saying he's due, right?

"Why am I a Cubs fan!?"

Game-time temps will be around 60 with more marine layer and the wind blowing out to LCF at 5 mph.

the marine layer is a myth
