Dye popped out (foul) to first base

Konerko walked

Mackowiak blooped a single to right field , Konerko to second

Crede singled to left field , Jonerko to third, Mackowiak to second

Uribe singled to right field , Konerko & Mackowiak scored, Crede to second

Masset sacrificed, 2-4, Crede to third, Uribe to second

Erstad grounded out to first, unassisted

That's what you get for not going after Konerko like you should.

 

I don't know how you can be mad at Z for that. He threw two or three pitches that anyone else in baseball would have swung and missed at.

 

That's b/c he was going for the K and not the out like he always does.

 

Ever since Z became more of a "strikeout" pitcher, his effectiveness has decreased accordingly. He doesn't as deep into games as he used to, his groundball to fyball ratio has plummeted, and he has already given up more homers this year than he did the entire '04 (??) season.

 

He used to be able to negate the walks by giving up few homers and enducing many a double play. Now it just doesn't happen. I wish we had that old Z back.

I'm shocked that Harrelson talks up Z as much as he does. He did the dame last year. He has some serious man love for Z.

 

im watching the cubs CSN broadcast so i didnt hear him, what did he say?
