It was in his forearm last year and leg this year. It's a cramp. Not an injury.

its a recurring medical problem that has happened throughout his career. some guys have blisters, some guys have cramping issues...just saying that it makes more sense to use him in short runs vs. long runs if they cant get it fixed.

Are we talking about baseball or horse racing.

Either way alot of crap on the field.

You still suck Demp

After every save (consecutive) you should remove a little bit of the red cirle/cross through. Like in Major League.

Man, I just get a split-second flash of a topless cut-out of Dempster.

Gah.

I tried to find a pic of it for you, no luck. Sorry.

I did find this though. Interesting

He looks kind of dazed to be declared so studly.

It's a freaking cramp, not a health issue. And it's in his leg.

Arms and legs both.

No. Just his right leg.

Staying hydrated: Angel Guzman, who had to leave Thursday's game because of cramps in his right hamstring, was examined by a doctor Friday. He was told the same thing he's been told for the last few years: Drink water.

"They said keep drinking water and eat bananas -- that's all," Guzman said.

Guzman had problems with cramps in his forearm last year, and it forced him out of a start. The right-hander is still waiting for that first big-league win. He was close Thursday, but the bullpen couldn't hold a four-run lead.

"I know the guys in the bullpen and trust them to get the job done," Guzman said. "I trust them."

It's good to see the kid maintaining his composure even though you know it killed him to watch the bullpen blow that lead. Good for him.

I love that quote, i really really do.

He may be the lone Mohican in the world who really believes that.

I know Lou doesnt.

Zambrano has cramped up more than Guzman.

Do you know what a cramp is?

I'm sure all the players trust the pen when it comes to talking to the media.

Great win by the Cubs!

Now that's how a real baseball team should play...let's make it two in a row tomorrow with Marquis on the bump.

(Editor's note: After the most satisfying win in quite some time, can we discuss the big W instead of Guzman's cramps?)

Yep. And Hall let a past ball go by today, that should have been easily stopped. Let to a run.

In case you guys missed this in Rivalries, you have to check out this exchange between Mike North and Ozzie Guillen.

North and Guillen

Keep in mind that North is a Sox fan and typically a Guilen apologist. Ozzie is just a tool.

Ozzie is such a D-Bag.

Link doesnt work anymore.

Lou hinting at giving Pagan more playing time.

He should. Play the hot hand. We need all the offense we can get.

If the Cubs sweep the Sox, wouldn't it be fair to say that I (in a way, since I'm still currently the official game thread starter) should get the Premium?

Bingo. Pagan's not good by any means, but if he's on a hot streak we might as well ride it out.
