Hated moving Harden, but my starting pitching is a pretty solid rotation right now. Adding a closer, solid prospect and a 6th round draft pick is a pretty good deal IMHO.

That's a deal that either one of us could look back on with regret. All depends on Harden's health. I felt I was in a surplus position and could take a chance on him.

I can agree with that. Not having a second closer was hurting me and I could use the points, even if it's counting on Valverde. You'll notice who I signed in reserve in case Jose chokes in hopes that he'd be the next closer. It very well could hurt me long term, but my roster was catered towards a trade like that. I have a young team with a lot of exemptions, especially at SP. Add the draft pick and Gomez and I'm pretty content.

+ possibly Hughes and / or Adam Miller

 

The three position players I know I'll pay the points for will be Vic, Albert & Reyes. Everyone else will have to fit in around them.

My points are going to Santana and Sizemore first and foremost. I have 2 exempt players at the top of their positions in Hamels and Kinsler. After that, I may have to decide on 2 of 3 of Wright, Morneau, Crawford. Owings and Butler will likely lose minor league eligibility by mid-June.

That's possible. I know I picked him up in the draft or as a free agent (I forget which) before this season started, and I can't imagine him not having been owned by somebody at some time considering his top prospect status.
