This trade idea was suggested a bunch of times last year. Hill has emerged as the ace of this year's staff. Adam Dunn has an OPS over 1.000. Would you trade Hill for Dunn?

I would have before, yes, but not now. A team needs an ace as a pitching anchor, and Hill is clearly that ace. Nobody else will be close within a few months.

Ah yes. The first of about 100,000 "Trade for Dunn" threads that will litter the NSBB message boards this summer.

Oddly enough, this is the 5000th "this is going to be the first of 100,000 "trade for Dunn" threads that will litter NSBB this summer" post.

For Bobby, not Rich
Maybe we should try to put one over on the Reds and see if their GM is too dumb to notice the difference. :D

What is this man love for a guy that has a better chance of striking out than getting on base?

No Thanks!!!

well that's not even close to being true, but whatever

Since when does the truth matter?

did you not remember how we complained when we had (whatshisname)

who struck out more than 100 times se veral seasons in a rowand we went nuts about that? Dunn strikes out that manyy times as well, I thought this year was suppose to be about OBP.

Ya, the RBI would be nice but if nobody is on ahead of him then what is the sense?

Most people who understand the issue don't bother worrying about strikeouts.

Not bothered by strike outs??? This is the national league you better be.

Ok so we pick this guy up, where do we put him in the lineup? He is just a avg. fielder, we have 3 1/2 avg. fielder now and guys that have power and can drive runs in why throw bad money out there on the same thing when Murton will continue to grow and so will Pie into decent hitting low strike out players that will get on base as well as drive in runs.

where you guys get that this guy is a magic pill is the same place that Hendry was told to pay over a 100 mill for a non-pitcher

Adam Dunn's career OBP is .379. How many current Cubs have a career OBP that high? I'll give you a hint - the number is not larger than zero.

Is it 4? It's 4 right? It's gotta be 4. Maybe 6?

good point. people seem to forget that the NL instituted a "strike outs count for two outs" policy this season while the AL instituted a "strike outs count for half an out" policy. well said.
