He has to be written in but with the support of this site and others, we can do this.

 

Vance, we are going to need a lot of help from you but I think this is possible.

 

For those who follow hockey, there was a gimmick started by a Vancouver Canucks fan to get Defenseman Rory Fitzpatrick into the NHL ASG and he was within less than 1K votes of actually getting in. With the help of the Cub fan base, I honestly think it can be done. Spread the word and vote often!

Even at SS, Jose Reyes and Jimmy Rollins have him trumped.

 

He has a better shot at being named as the backup 2B than he does at being the backup SS.

 

I agree that getting Lee the starting 1B gig over Pujols is more important that voting for Theriot who stands a snowballs chance in hell at making it. I'll gladly vote for him, and will vote for him, but he's got stiff competition at either position

since you seem to be the resident riot hater (i drafted him in 3 fantasy leagues knowing he'd be solid) he has just as much business being on the all-star team than any other cub minus lee and hill. His performance so far this year has been outstanding and would be better if he got to play 2b or ss every game and not worry about bein benched by izcrappy. The kid can play and may end up bein the cubs all star selection if lee and hill slump over the next 2 months and he continues to be strong

The way I see it, and I'd love to have only the most deserving players in the ASG, there's plenty of guys that make it each year that either shouldn't be there or should be further down the list. So at least by getting Theriot voted in( not likely) it would be our guy there for once, instead of someone elses undeserving player beating out our guy.

thats simply not true. the fact hes a cub makes littler difference. hes not one of the top shortstops in the league and its not even close. Are you going to sit there and tell me he's played better than:

 

Jose Reyes, Jimmy Rollins, Hanley Ramirez, and Edgar Renteria? That's FOUR shortstops considerably better than him and I only used one of the three divisions in the National League.

 

He's done well, but not nearly well enough to deserve to be an All Star. He's hitting .312 and his SLG isn't even over .375, that should tell you something.
