Wow, guys. I think that was easily the right move. With a runner on 2nd, you pitch to the guy with the smallest chance of getting a base hit.

 

Bay's extra-base power means nothing in that spot.

 

actually, an extra base hit would have assured a run, there, whereas a simple base hit did not.
