That .310 is more telling to me than the .556. DeRosa is on pace for over 30 homers, and we know he isn't going to do that, so the SLG will drop quite a bit.

ah i see, so write off the stat that doesn't go with your argument and latch onto the one that does. Popular tactic.

im pretty sure i addressed both stats. if derosa slugs ~.150 higher than his career average all year, then ill gladly give him his due, but the bottom line is he's not a very good baseball player and i don't see how you can argue otherwise.

You smell that? That's the smell of free baseball coming.

there's no way the cubs will score four in the bottom of the ninth.

I wonder what mind boggling, soul crushing way are we going to figure out to lose this one :(

Maybe, if we pray to Baby Jesus, we'll keep playing into the 23rd inning and the game will be called.

Well I think he's a pretty decent baseball player and I don't see how you can argue otherwise.

Gameday really really really sucks.

MLB needs to get their collective asses together and get that garbage fixed up.

This is the first time I've tried following the game solely with the game thread...this is freakin' impossible!

That is never a good idea. You'd think every play was either the worst or the best in the history of baseball. Plus you can't really get much of a PbP.

Howry looked OK this inning.

Neifi will allow two runs to score on a sac fly.

Oh wait.

It's much easier when Fred does the pbp.

And his career OBP is 20 points higher than 310
