And strange things happen. Who though Brady Quinn would drop to #23 this year? Horford slipping a few spots isn't that unlikely

The dymanics of the NBA draft are much different. Once a player like Horford has been deemed a top 5 caliber pick, they rarerly fall, baring something major.

he has had 4 offseasons now to get a post scorer.

How do you figure that? He had a post scorer in Curry up until two years ago.

A lazy fat worhtless post scorer that is.

I'm not a Curry fan by any means, but he's a very efficient post scorer. It's about the only thing he does well.

I've known him since his HS days...I still remember when his team couldn't beat a bunch of 6 foot white kids from Schaumburgh..lol

We will probably wind up drafting Jeff Green.

:?

I'd be willing to bet my life that the Bulls do not select Jeff Green. My money right now (pre-lottery) is the Bulls will land in the 7-10 range and get Roy Hibbert. Spencer Hawes, Yi Jianlian, and Al Horford are other possibilities depending on what draft pick we get.

I don't think Horford will make it out of the top 5.

Which is why I said "depending on what draft pick we get". I think it'll be 7-10 range, but it could be higher. Hopefully we can get lucky and get a top 5 pick and have a chance at Horford. Hibbert or Hawes wouldn't be a bad consolation prize though.

The Bulls are in the 9 slot heading into the lottery. So they could pick 1-3 or 9-12. Ninth is by far the most likely, of course.

I wonder if Paxson is still under the deluison that the Bulls don't need an inside scorer?

So I take it you'd have done Gasol for Deng and Gordon?

Paxson knows and has said he wants an inside scorer.

Hmm...didn't know it worked that way. I thought they just pulled out the 4 balls and matched up the combination for each spot starting with the #1 pick and going all the way down. I guess that explains why I always got 9th or a top 3 pick when I was doing that lottery simulator.

Who's good at scoring in the post. Why should he have gotten another one if he had one his first two seasons?

Unless its 1-3 I'd trade it.

For what?

Not if I have a chance at Hawes or, maybe, Hibbert.

What if it's not that heavily valued? I'd rather take Hibbert or Hawes than trade it just to trade it.

I wonder how hard it'd be to trade up for Horford.

I'm not giving away a top 10 pick in this draft (the odds of the Bulls picking 11 or 12 are lower than them winning the lottery) unless I'm wowed by an offer.

Don't see the Bulls having the assets for that unless they're willing to dip into their Deng, Gordon, Hinrich core.

Yeah, that's what I'd be afraid of.

I said in my post I was glad he did not do the Gasol deal.
