what did the pistons shoot from 3 point range?

52.6%

well, they got open looks, they just hit them. the bulls also got open looks and didn't.

Story of the whole game. The Pistons badly outplayed us, but they also had everything go their way.

3's dropping, rebounds bouncing right at them, stupid traveling calls.

Come on man. Don't blame it on luck. The rebounds just don't "fall" to a team. They wanted the ball more. Our guys were completely out of place. It seemed like we really didn't want it.

At least when we went down 0-2 last year against the Heat, we easily could've won game 1 and in game 2, we had a furious rally that came up just short. I felt pretty good about winning game 3 and game 4 in Chicago. Not so much the case this year.

He didn't blame it on luck, check out the second sentence in his post.

The Bulls will shoot better in the next few games, they can't shoot worse. Hopefully they've learned to get inside.

So yeah, not really sure why we passed on Webber. Other than the fact that he doesn't fit the whole "character" BS that Skiles and Paxson use.

Not to mention he's pale shadow of the player he used to be, don't be fooled by one good game. His best days/effectiveness are way behind him.

from what i saw, the game would have taken on a different dynamic if the shots were falling for the bulls, well, obviously.

i don't think it was luck, but i don't think the pistons outplayed them by a whole lot.

the bulls were streaky at best with their overall play. on some possessions, they had really good ball movement, found open shooters, but missed. On others, they looked like they'd never played basketball before, travelling, mishandling the ball, et.c

I wonder if Paxson is still under the deluison that the Bulls don't need an inside scorer?

Still?

When was he?

I've heard him comment many times that this team still needs an inside scoring presence.

Talk is cheap. He needs to go out and actually do it.

and who were all the GM's who were offering these inside scorers at the deadline? Oh, right, just Jerry West, who wanted the two best players on the team

I'm glad he didn't do the deal for Gasol, but he has had 4 offseasons now to get a post scorer.

As mentioned above, Paxson is well aware of the need for an inside scoring presence, given the Knicks (Bulls own their pick) have only a .019 chance at winning the Lottery. I doubt he'll be able to address need for an inside scoring option via the Draft. He may have to trade one of Deng or Gordon along with the Knicks' pick. If it nets a Kevin Garnett, I'm for it, team him up with the likes of Deng or Gordon along with Hinrich, Nocini, etc. and the Bulls have a pretty good chance of being dominate in the future.

The Bulls won't beat the Pistons this year but, they're on their way up, the Pistons window of opportunity won't be open much longer.

The Bulls do not need to win the lottery to find an inside scorer in this draft. It's deep and filled with PF-C prospects.

With the loss of P.J.'s expiring contract, the Bulls are also likely out of any trades for a superstar this off season. They'd need to sign Deng and Gordon to extensions and then trade them both for Garnett to get the salaries to match up at this point. That's too much to pay for KG.

As far as this series goes, I'm surprised the games have been so one-sided but I expected the Bulls to drop the first two games. I think they'll win games 3 and 4 at home and drop games 5 and 6.

The Bulls weren't on Webber's list of teams, and they didn't have a MLE available to use this year even if he'd wanted to play here.

We will probably wind up drafting Jeff Green.

:?

I'd be willing to bet my life that the Bulls do not select Jeff Green. My money right now (pre-lottery) is the Bulls will land in the 7-10 range and get Roy Hibbert. Spencer Hawes, Yi Jianlian, and Al Horford are other possibilities depending on what draft pick we get.

Tyrus Thomas's hopefully can continue to play how he did last night. I know most of his play was in garbage time, it's still significant. If we can get him going, that will be very big for the Bulls. The less P.J. Brown the better. We need Ben and Luol to shoot better and Nocioni decide not to suck.

I don't think Horford will make it out of the top 5.

Tell Skiles that. I don't really understand how Tyrus is only getting garbage time minutes. It was pretty sad to see Sweetney come into the game before Tyrus did.

i've never even heard of Jeff Green

And strange things happen. Who though Brady Quinn would drop to #23 this year? Horford slipping a few spots isn't that unlikely

How do you figure that? He had a post scorer in Curry up until two years ago.
