From the first 2 weeks, it looks like the same 4 teams in the East are going to be competing for the playoffs again. I historically have not done well vs. the top of my division which has led to my demises.

BTW, 6 of the 12 top scores in this league are middle IFs. And exactly 0 of them are named Jeter, Tejada, or Utley.

 

Aaron Hill and Ian Kinsler are huge surprises right now.

Switching out pitcher rule is working in my favor already. Ervin Santana can't record an out in the 1st inning. Good thing I benched him against Boston. That's 6 runs and a crap load of TBA's that won't be counting against me in a week it normally would.

 

That's where I think Juan is incorrect about there being no advantages to switching out pitchers.

 

But, I did say I wouldn't talk about it anymore, so consider this discussion dropped.

I was just thinking about how many points Kerry's 20K performance would have been...

 

9IP x 4.5 = 40.5

20K x .5 = 10

1CG x 4 = 4

1SO x 3 = 3

1 TBA = -1

 

= 56.5 points

 

Not bad, but not nearly what Unit's perfect game earned him (well over 100 points). :shock:

And I get screwed by a horrible coaching move. Capuano was crusing thru 5. The 6th started with an error by Hardy. He then gave up 2 singles, to load the bases with no outs.

 

Now I can't see the game, but he allowed a sac fly and all runners moved up on a "pop out to CF", so I'm assuming Conine didn't hit the ball that well. He then got Griffey to ground back to him with runners on 2nd and 3rd for the 2nd out.

 

However, Yost goes to the pen to bring in Greg Aquino to face Edwin Encarnacion. Who is Greg Aquino you may ask....he is the guy that Encarnacion had doubled against twice in 5 PAs. Yes, that Edwin Encarnacion. The one who is 3-17 with 6 of his 8 Ks vs. LHPs.

Same 4 teams? I finished above you last year, and, have only missed the playoffs twice since the league started. I've finished 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th in the division and then the one year, I don't remember because the stats are gone, but I know I was an injury machine that year.

Apparently slappy is pretty fired up about having Furcal back in the lineup as well. We'll see if the pitchers can go without giving a ton of points back this week.

I'm glad I didn't trade Arron Hill before the season like I was trying to :-). I just have a hard time benching Utley for Hill cause the moment I do I know Utley will break out.
