Phillies just took the lead against the Astros as Nunez dumps a single into left. The inning should have been over, but an error by Ensberg extended things.

Following your home town team, eh?

Haha. Carlos Lee just made a great catch jumping at the wall, but looked absolutely ridiculous doing it. He fell on his butt after making the catch.

Always watch the Astros and Cardinals so I can root for the other team.

C'mon Fielder....

Just missed a granny. Kip Wells looking like the real Kip Wells in the 3rd.

ARGH. My fantasy team could have really used a granny.

Schmidt's velocity is way way down. By his own admission he hasn't even hit 90mph on his fastball in years. And he hasn't yet made the transition to a finesse pitcher, so he's not much more than Wade Miller right now.

I was calling for the Cubs to sign him; very happy to be wrong on this one.

I felt he did quite well last season, but SBC/AT&T is a better pitcher's park than Dodger Stadium. He was dinked and dunked a bit last inning - but that HR was a no-doubter on a night I didn't think many HRs could be hit.

Haha, Pierre grounded out 4-3 to end the Dodgers game.

And John Mabry also grounded out 4-3 to end the Rockies-D'Backs game.

Pierre was benched. Brady Clark started in cf. On the Dodger broadcast, they kept showing him in the dugout and he did not look too happy. Couple that with ending the game with the groundout and it was an overall bad day for Pierre.

Crap. The Yankees beat the A's in the 13th inning on a Giambi HR.
we'll probably have to hear about how ARod couldnt get the job done from yankee fans for the next week
