Bold Prediction: Cubs will have one big inning where they come back to tie it/ keep it close

The Bullpen proceeds to give up 5 each of the successive remaining innings.

That's not very bold?

See what I did there? Its called sarcasm.

So was mine.

Please stop with the "he'll get his chance" talk! Unless you have the inside info from Lou that says Murton is going to get 500 ABs this year, how do you really know that?

Man I hate when people tell others what they can and can't post.

Hypocritical in your own post.

You missed the point. You conveniently cut out his post, which I was quoting, to show just how dumb it is to tell people what they can't post.

I didn't miss the point at all. He told you what you should or shouldn't post, and you then proceeded to tell him what he should or shouldn't post. You then followed it with a statement that basically says you hate when people tell others how they should or shouldn't post. Guilty of your own complaint.

I'm tired of the Murton playing time posts, but they aren't going to go away, no matter how much anyone protests. Skip them if you are not a fan of such posts.

JJones vs RHP last year:

396ab 120h 21hr 59rbi 33bb 83k .303avg .358obp .528slg .886ops

MMurton vs RHP last year:

319ab 94h 7hr 43rbi 27bb .295avg .356obp .426slg .782ops.

Food for thought..

I'm well aware that Jones had a good year last year, at least against RHP. That's why we should have traded him in the off-season. I'm more than happy to put Murton's .350 OBP in the 2 hole against RHP or LHP.

Please stop with the Murton man crushes! I like the guy too but goodness, he'll get his chance. It's not like has been killing the ball or getting on base any other way. It's game 8.

exactly the reason he should be playing.

No it isn't. Murton isn't a lock in the lineup but he will get plenty of at bats.

the reason he may not look great is that it's game 8, which is my point. give him time means give him some plate appearances.

so far, it looks like floyd is going to get most of them.

Why does it look like Floyd is going to get most of them? They have each started the same number of games even though they have only faced 1 left-hander. That suggests Murton will get more starts, not Floyd.

the trend appears to be floyd playing more and murton playing less.
