i liked the alternate, especially at home, they looked great with the pinstripe pants IMO

 

that being said, they were wore too much, maybe a sunday thing at home kind of deal like other teams

 

they will probably go on sale sometime in the future now

 

i wasant a fan of the gray pants with the blue top though

Nice that they'll be wearing only the pinstripes at home, but too bad they didn't make the dark blue jersey/grey pants setup the away uniform. Even the blueberries were better than the greys...

The only time i remember seeing him in pinstripes was the All star game in 2004...he looked weird

There's a reason why the club insisted that the blues be shelved on Opening Day, for the All-Star Game and when Daryl Kile passed — they looked like trash.

The Blues were the best uniforms that the Cubs wore. I liked them better than the pinstripes. The greys are the most retched ugly things ever created and should be burned and the ashes should be thrown to the 4 corners of the earth. Anyone that likes the greys over the blues, you have to be collor blind... get your eyes checked. Im not suprised that DirectTV fanboy likes this move though.

Wow, now there is sentiment I can agree with. Cubbies wear pinstripes. I liked the blues ok, I am not a fan of the greys but hey at least we don't have to wear the Royals uniform. Those things look old and worn out even before they lose the game.

I love the pinstripes - maybe the best home uni's in all of baseball behind the Yankees and Red Sox.

 

I think the blues should be made strictly a road alt and banned from home games - but not from all games completely.

Thank god. The blue jerseys weren't even used as alternates. They were used way too much, and I always thought they looked tacky. I would be up for a refresh to the grey uni's though. They're a little bland.

The greys look like bad pajamas. Horribly ugly. And I'm not sure I'm a fan of the president messing with pitcher's superstitions. I think it should be left up to the starting pitcher all season. The blues were being worn too much, but if anything, you can limit there use, not get rid of them altogether.

We're obviously not color blind, since we can see how hideous the blues are.

There were probably guys that thought the pajama uniforms in the early 80's were lucky. Doesn't mean they should have kept wearing them.

The blue tops looked like BP jerseys, and gave the impression that the guys forgot to change into their real uniforms before the start of the game. Good riddance.

 

The grays might not be a wonderful design, but at least the tops and pants are the same color, like they should be.
