Not a very smart play leaving DeRosa in, but it paid off.

who would you have hit there?

that's the izturis we know and love.

murton

i don't see the point in that at all.

murton over izturis? really?

theriot already pinch hit, so he would go to short while murton would have moved to left for floyd, who theriot pinch hit for...

give me murton everytime

No. He would've pinch-hit Murton for DeRosa, and put Murton in LF and Theriot at 2B.

Too much tinkering. Overmanaging like that is what makes you run out of players when games go to extra innings.

Major League Baseball announced today that iN DEMAND has entered into a seven-year agreement in principle to carry the MLB EXTRA INNINGS subscription package of out-of-market games and will distribute the MLB Channel, which is scheduled to launch in January 2009.

The MLB EXTRA INNINGS subscription package of out-of-market games is currently available to DIRECTV subscribers. iN DEMAND owners Comcast, Cox Communications and Time Warner Cable have agreed to carry the package, effective immediately. iN DEMAND also will offer to make the MLB Extra Innings subscription package available to other cable companies across the U.S. Like all distributors of MLB Extra Innings, these cable operators would also be required to carry the MLB Channel once it is launched.

That is GOOD news.

What about Dish Network.

Did Blanco show up or is Murton still our emergency catcher??

The cam showed big B down in the dugout really early in the game. So yeah, he's there.

Whether it was what he saw in batting practice today, or how they were feeling today.. he had confidence on DeRosa.. and it worked.

Come back and complain when it doesnt.

Dempster against Dunn and Griffey makes me nervous. Put it out of reach here.

I hope Lou is at least considering Ohman to at least start against Dunn.

Cards now losing 2-0 on a homer by Beltran!!

I have powers, I have the box score up and saw beltran up and was thinking "I hope he hits a blast"

At first I thought he hooked it foul, but it managed to wrap around the pole and stay fair down the RF line.

Yeah, FSMW came up with a really stupid camera angle on that HR. Save those flashy angles for the replays.

This just made my choice for cable provider when I move alot easier, though I probably won't be able to afford the package to get it.

No way I see that happening. It would be a huge vote of no confidence in his closer to start the season.

It works, and Cub fans complain. :?

Some people are pre-programmed to complain about anything.

You guys will know when I'm complaining. That was simply an observation.

I've resigned myself to the fact that not every play Lou makes is the one that I would. I'm not about to complain about it. But if I can't open my mouth and point out when he's doing something differently than I would have without people jumping all over me for it, then that's absolutely ridiculous.

It seems to me as though people are spending more time whining about the perceived negativity than the negativity itself is being pushed.
