Is it just me, or has he shown quite a bit more power this spring? I saw him reach way out and hit one to the warning track the day before yesterday. Someone said on the game thread yesterday that his walk-off hit the scoreboard. Is that true? I watched a bunch of highlights last night but none showed the walkoff. If that thing hit the scoreboard, it must have been a BOMB.

HGH?

Just kidding I think. He has also shown increased patience. He has to show it in the season though.

Might be hard to do when you don't play very often. Young players are usually more aggressive at the plate; but I'm guessing maybe even more so when they only bat 5-7 times a week.

Yesterday was awful windy in these parts. That, and balls fly farther in the Arizona air. Until you see him hit a scoreboard in an NL Central ballpark, I wouldn't make much of it.

BTW, we had 75 MPH wind gusts in some parts of SoCal yesterday. Not sure how windy it ever got in Phoenix, but it was VERY windy here in San Diego.

they had a 16mph wind there for most of the day with it getting a lot stronger after the game ended

maybe it has something to do with some particular tooth pick chomping idiot telling the players to just hack away

Lou said it would have been a HR without the wind, but I'm guessing it wouldn't hit the scoreboard without the wind.

And those microbursts (and thunderstorms) were awesome.
