For those that missed it, Miller is officially the 5th starter. Cubs.com

"We'll figure that out in the next couple days," Piniella said. "Obviously, he needs to continue pitching. I don't have an answer for that."

Surely if he needs to pitch, the answer is Iowa.

Theriot scores on a foul line hugging hit by Aramis. 1-1. Barrett up.

Barrett walks.

EDIT: these announcers could put you to sleep if you downed 4 pots of coffee and ate a pound of chocolate in 20 minutes. It's brutal.

FYI, Bruce Miles will be on The Score, talking Cubs, at the top of the hour.

What did da man say? :)

The podcast will be available soon but he had some encouraging things to say.

How can you be sure there will be a podcast? I can't find any info about the chat or promise of an upcoming podcast. Am I just missing it?

He could go on the DL and stay for extended Spring Training. I think those are the only 2 options.

I agree!

I also think Lou changed his mind, on declaring the winner for later in the week, because he saw it as an unnecessary distraction (just as the Kerry news has been in the last few days--not so much to the team but to the business of managing. I'm sure Lou is tired of the questions and would like to spend his time doing other things). With both Wood and Prior away from the team, there will be no excuses and no unnecessary injury cloud (barring someone else getting injured).

It's going to be fun watching this offense all season! I can't think of a better trio of Cubs hitters in my 30 years as a fan as Sori, D-Lee and A-Ram will be this season.
