Dumbest.

Seriously, how uncool would it be if everytime Carpenter has a good start I come back and bump this thread? 30 or so bumps would be annoying, trolling and wouldn't contribute anything of value to the board. Much like your post which was...

dumb.

The last time I checked this was a Cubs board, not a cards board. Thanks for playing, troll.

if anyone's trolling, it's you.

and don't you feel dumb after zambrano's start today.

Now who's trolling?

me.

so i'm trolling, the cards' fan is trolling, and you're not.

Is it even possible for a Cubs fan to troll on a Cubs board when talking about the Cubs?

Yikes, powder blue throwback tattoo...

the jean shorts are fantastic.

Gotta love how his shirt appears to be tied through a loop on his jean shorts. And is that a bag of candy in his back right pocket?

That picture is just perfect. Look at all the people in the background. That color of red does not look good on anyone.

Love that 7.50 ERA, Ace. Keep it up.

If this post isn't trolling I don't know what is.

Like I said, Carpenter didn't look right. Now he's going to miss his next start with elbow inflammation.

Having Wells throw 109 pitches in his first start after struggling with injuries the past few years doesn't seem like it can be a good idea.

geez, stop trolling.

seriously, all this work up over who is trolling and who isn't. a Cubs fan can't rejoice in the poor performance of the best pitcher of the Cubs top rival? hell, Rich didn't even bump the thread, someone else did. an 'accepted' member who is a fan of that rival team can get away with responding to said rejoicing by repeatedly calling someone dumb because he has a hottie in his avatar? debating the technical definition of trolling to determine who is and who isn't trolling?

dumb.

No one had mentioned it in a couple of days until you brought it back up.

sorry my schedule couldn't accomodate you or the flow of the thread. dumb does not have a timeframe.

Rhetorical statement?

Apology accepted. Thanks, jjgman.

yes, very rhetorical. apology retracted.

so what if the coversation had dwindled, it was not a topical conversation that necessitated timely commentary. why your implication that I should not comment on it because a couple days had passed? you have a problem with the content, fine, comment on what I said, but if you don't like what I said simply because it lacks timeliness and therefore had some overwhelming urge to say so, well that's just down right lame, and out of character for you.

Your complaint was that the debate over who is trolling, who is not, and the technical definition of trolling is "dumb." I hope this isn't a rhetorical question, given your last several posts, but do you generally devote this amount of attention to dredging up old arguments to proclaim them "dumb?"

The debate was over, the time wasted on it had been completed, and your additional comments just extended the argument that you deemed idiotic. Congratulations on that, jigman.

well let's keep going with it, just for kicks. my complaint was not who was trolling and who was not. my point was similar to soccer's. how could Rich possibly be trolling in this situation? my complaint was the strained analysis people went through to determine that the less 'well respected' poster was the troll. I don't care how well respected a poster is, or how hot the chick in his avatar is, a Cub fan should be able to rejoice in a Cardinal player's failure without a 'well respected,' hottie avatared Cardinal fan poster getting all worked up about it.

Let me be very clear: My preference is for good behavior from any person on the site; regardless of color, gender, sexual preference or poor taste in baseball teams.

I dunno. I picked the Cubs to win 74 games last year, which was the most pessimistic of anybody. Was that trolling?

I've also been known to say that certain members of the organization suck.

I don't think so. I would call it being opinionated (not that it's a bad thing at all). There are going to be people who are optimistic and those who are pessimistic. That doesn't mean you don't have a good reason for thinking either way and I wouldn't consider that trolling at all.

I think we all have at some point (Neifi, Macias, Glendon, etc.). :D

I didn't get worked up. I just thought his post was dumb. I didn't say he was dumb. I don't know him so I would not be in a position to say such.

He doesn't care for me so when it is my argument, yes.

Was that directed at the Cubs fans or Cardinals fans or Jake?

I think he meant Indianapolis Colts fans.

I'm only a fan of 2 of them.
