Can they please find a way to bench Danielle Manning by playoff time?

And bring in who? He's better than Johnson as a safety and Hester in the Nickle.

He is terrible. Play Johnson at SS and Chris Harris at FS. RMJ at Nickle.

Ugh no. Johnson is worse in pass coverage and whiffs on too many hits.

I'm advocating replacing D. Manning with Chris Harris. Todd Johnson will be starting at SS by playoff time regardless.

Chris Harris has really improved this year and is a better option than D. Manning IMO.

There's the problem, the Bears would be better off with Harris and Manning out there. Harris' skills are better suited for SS rather than FS.

Manning is out of postion 80%+ of the time.

Harris should be playing over Johnson at SS. I'd be disappointed to see Todd Johnson getting a lot of playing time over Chris Harris or Danieal Manning.

I'm sorry, but I'm having very little doubt the Bears are going to lose that first playoff game. I know the season is winding down and the starters will play less, but the defense has just been way too average or worse these last 3 weeks. I don't really see anything besides Tank coming back that indicates anything will drastically change between now and that first playoff game. I hope to God I'm wrong but I am not optimistic at all.

If you think that is true, why was he named the starter so early on (after week 2) and not lost his job to Harris yet?

Uhh...have you seen the quality of the playoff teams in the NFC?

I don't know. It certainly was not based on performance. I know the coaching staff is very high on Manning, Lovie Smith was very high on him before the draft. Maybe they wanted him starting so his develeopment is accelerated. I don't dissagree with the decision at the time. But after his benching Harris really rebounded nicely and improved his game. He is a better saftey than Manning at this point IMO.

Not to mention both Tillman and Vasher will be ready to go in the playoffs, moving Manning Jr. back to nickel coverage and improving the secondary as a whole.

Why not just jump off the bandwagon right now? Why wait?

Has the Bears D regressed yep, but the NFC sucks. And I don't see the Aints or Cowgirls coming into Soldier Field and getting a victory.

Different strengths, Manning is a better coverage safety and Harris is better against the run.

I would rather have Manning at FS over Harris, if it was for SS, I would rather have Harris.

Nice to see another win.. but Bears nearly lost that. A win is a win though. They got really lucky the last play.

Hester managed to give the ball enough of a love tap to force it out. Good play on his part.

Well, at least its better than doing nothing. He still should've been in front of the reciever.. but as long as it works out.

Vasher on Mike Williams ain't going to work, they should have known that from the beginning. Where did Tillman go?

I don't want to see Hester on defense ever again. Please, god, no.

Tillman was held out because of precaution. Had it been a game that meant something, he would have played.
