Power is not just home runs.

As I said earlier, a ton of doubles and triples too.

Just about all of the Cubs projected starters figure to hit 30+ doubles and 2-3 triples. Soriano and Lee have a good chance of being 80-90 XBH guys, and maybe Ramirez too. Murton, Jones and Barrett figure to get 50-70 XBH if playing full time. DeRosa had 55 XBH last year. Izturis should kick in 30-40 XBH.

I thought we were assuming Jones is long gone.

And Lee----we're just going to pencil him in for 40 homers even though he struggled long after his wrist injury was healed? I've had a major wrist break before. It can take longer than a year to really feel better. Used to have all kinds of pain in it long after the break, sometimes just from the change in barometric pressure from storms. Nasty stuff.

I was thinking Lee, more like 25 homers. Jones gone.

The argument, I thought, was whether we were going to have Pagan getting significant time, with perhaps even Pie being the starter. I think that's pretty bad.

I also had a wrist injury once, and believe me it takes long to fully heal, plus the lingering effects always have remaind.

someone pointed out that its a forearm that was injured, above the wrist. long bones should heal differently, maybe less complicated than the wrist fractures mentioned here.

I'm new to posting here but have been lurking around for a while because this is about the only place i can find level-headed cubs fans.

anyways...my only useful input on this topic is that i broke my wrist (not sure if it was major but major enough to be in a cast for 10 weeks) and i haven't ever felt any discomfort or lack of strength. Maybe mine was not as bad as d-lee's but just saying not all wrist injuries linger.

I've had injuries similar to DLee's twice, and both of my wrists are still fine.

The only difference I notice is that my right wrist is really easy to crack (like knuckles).
